Inpatient Alcohol Treatment Program in Texas

Inpatient Alcohol Treatment Program in Texas

The Ranch at Dove Tree believes in second chances. If you are seeking an inpatient alcohol treatment center that keeps you at the center of care, The Ranch at Dove Tree is here for you. Inpatient alcohol rehab is the best first step for most people with alcohol use problems. Some individuals can begin their recovery journey at the outpatient alcohol treatment level, but in most cases, the intensive structure and 24-hour support available in residential (inpatient) treatment is the preferred first-step option for recovery.

Dove Tree’s team of compassionate professionals coordinates your inpatient alcohol treatment. Your counselors take the time to get to know you, both medically and personally, and they base your treatment plan on your individual needs and goals.

Located on 15 acres of beautiful Texas ranch land, the Ranch at Dove Tree offers the space you need to nurture mind, body, and spirit. Whether you choose a long-term alcohol rehab stay of  30 or 60 days, you will have the time you need to learn about your substance use history. Through individual and group counseling you will discover the close connection between thoughts and behaviors and develop the resiliency skills needed for recovery. Our clinical team is educated and experienced in working with individuals who have anxiety, depression, trauma, and other dual-diagnosis problems.

Each inpatient alcohol rehab program at Dove Tree uses a 12-step foundational model, finely customized for your personal history and needs. The Ranch at Dove Tree’s traditional program is a 30-day core track. Because our programs carefully address your mental, physical, and spiritual wellness, it is appropriate to consider The Ranch at Dove Tree a holistic alcohol rehab center.

Our Inpatient Alcohol Treatment Services

Detox Services:

Our Detox Program prepares clients physically and emotionally for the challenging work of therapy. When a person suddenly stops using drugs or alcohol, they may begin to experience a variety of uncomfortable physical and emotional withdrawal symptoms. Our medical staff will provide medications as needed and 24/7 medical monitoring to help alleviate these symptoms and assure clients of their safety.

Most clients spend 3-7 days in detox, but each person is different. The length of time spent in detox will depend on a variety of factors: substance/s used, length of time used, frequency of use, amount used, health complications, age, pregnancy, and previous withdrawal experience. Detox is not a stand-alone treatment. It does not “cure” addiction. After detox, clients will be recommended to stay for residential treatment, partial hospitalization, or our intensive outpatient program.

Residential Inpatient Treatment:

This is an intensive program in which individuals live at the treatment facility 24/7. It provides a structured and supportive environment for individuals with severe addiction issues. During inpatient treatment, clients receive a variety of therapeutic interventions and support services. We offer both 30-day and 60-day programs. Our 30-day program followed a structured development approach we call Recovery Core. This program  incorporates the essential components of 12-Step recovery to focus on body, mind, and spirit and thus provide a holistic foundation for recovery. Recovery Core Track emphasizes the first five of the traditional 12 Steps, which focus on the principles of honesty, open-mindedness, willingness, courage, and integrity.

The Ranch at Dove Tree’s 30-Day Track encompasses:

  • Individual therapy twice a week or more
  • At least 6 hours of group programming per day
  • 12-Step recovery
  • Life skills groups
  • A “Family Week” program
  • Education and support in creating a daily wellness routine, including exercise and a healthy diet

It’s important to note that 30-day programs are relatively short, and they may serve as a starting point for longer-term treatment if needed. The effectiveness of such programs can vary depending on the individual’s unique needs and the severity of their addiction. Some individuals may benefit from extended or more intensive treatment, including longer residential programs, outpatient care, or ongoing therapy and support.

In the Ranch at Dove Tree’s 60-Day Track, clients continue their work with the 12 Steps (steps 6-9) while also working to integrate into a transitional living community. Time in transitional living focuses on helping clients restore healthy relationships and lifestyles that will provide them a solid base for sustained sobriety. In addition to continued individual, group, and family therapy, The Ranch at Dove Tree’s 60-Day Track encompasses:

  • Activity & experiential-based learning
  • Creative expression
  • Equine-assisted therapy
  • Outdoor adventure pursuit on weekends
  • Service work
  • Daily wellness routine

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP):

A PHP offers structured treatment during the day but allows individuals to return home or to a sober living environment in the evenings. It provides a step-down level of care for those who no longer require 24-hour supervision but still need intensive therapy. It can also be an option for clients who are unable to commit to residential treatment.

Dove Tree’s PHP is 20 hours per week of group programming: 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and an evening group meeting on Wednesdays beginning at 6 p.m. In addition to group therapy, clients meet individually once a week with their primary counselor and once a week with our mental wellness provider. Families are encouraged to participate.

Group programming focuses on the following topics: multi-family systems, the 12 Steps and Big Book studies, accessing community resources, team building, peer-to-peer accountability, meditation, relapse prevention, and safety planning. Clients in our PHP program learn how to prepare for the transition back to their daily lives. They also are encouraged to achieve several key objectives, including:

  • Stabilization
  • Self-Awareness
  • Coping Skills
  • Self-Care
  • Improved Communication
  • Accountability
  • Gratitude
  • Resilience
  • Acceptance

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP):

IOPs offer flexibility for individuals who need treatment for substance use and/or mental health issues but wish to maintain their daily responsibilities such as work or school. IOPs can also be used as a step-down from residential or partial care treatment. Clients attend therapy sessions during the day or evening while living at home or in a sober living environment. Our IOP offered a structured treatment plan, a holistic approach, and peer support. Together, these services help clients to:

  • Develop coping skills
  • Manage relapse triggers
  • Learn more about their particular mental health or substance use disorder
  • Address physical, emotional, and social aspects of their lives
  • Connect with peers who face similar challenges

Each client in our Texas IOP is provided with a weekly therapist and client liaison. Clients engage in a minimum of 15 hours of recovery programming per week, although this may scale back as clients gain their footing in sobriety and prepare to leave the program. The IOP requires random drug testing, and clients are asked to attend daily group therapy or community recovery meetings every evening for the first few weeks.

Dual Diagnosis Treatment:

The Ranch at Dove Tree specializes in addressing co-occurring mental health disorders alongside addiction. Too often, people who struggle with addiction have a hard time sustaining sobriety because of underlying mental health disorders. At Dove Tree, we will provide a thorough assessment that may include diagnosis of a mental health disorder like depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, or a trauma-based disorder. When a mental health and substance use disorder co-occur, this is called a dual diagnosis and requires specialized treatment. Dual diagnosis treatment involves integrated therapy to address both the substance use and underlying mental health issues simultaneously. Clients will learn about their particular mental health disorder, how it manifests, what triggers the symptoms, and how they have used substances to “self-medicate” their symptoms. When necessary, clients will be prescribed medications to help alleviate mental health symptoms so that they can more easily navigate the process of addiction recovery

Relapse Prevention Program Trac9:

The Ranch at Dove Tree uses a uniquely designed and secure web app called Trac9 that helps assess client progress after treatment ends.

Trac9 uses a series of standardized assessments to identify changes in depression, anxiety, stress, visual response to cravings, verbal response to cravings, spirituality, commitment to sobriety, optimism, and quality of life. The assessments are collected regularly to help predict the likelihood of a relapse. Results are shared with clients so that they know when to engage additional recovery support.

In addition, our Lubbock facility offers alumni support in the form of free weekly alumni recovery meetings, an alumni Facebook page that provides connection and inspiration, two annual alumni reunion celebrations, as well as other alumni events throughout the year. Recovery doesn’t work very well when you try to do it alone. We provide multiple avenues for connection and continued recovery support.
