The decision to get alcohol and drug addiction treatment isn’t easy, but it is one you can be proud of making. It may mean spending time away from your family to work through this intense and complex disease. You’re hoping the end result will make it all worthwhile, but you may also have some fears about treatment.

Getting Treatment: What to Expect

What should you expect from your time at an addiction treatment center?

The Ranch At Dove Tree is a welcoming location. Our rehab facility in Lubbock, TX, is designed to help you feel right at home. That’s why we make the admissions process as streamlined as possible for you. Here are some things you can expect.

Call & Learn About Your Options

The first step is to contact us. Our team is always available, 24-hours a day, every day of the year, to provide you with guidance and support. When you call us, we listen to what’s happening with you. We can talk to you if you are the person who needs help or if you’re that person’s loved one looking for insight into their options. The key here is to call, learn more about our programs, and then agree to the next step.

Verifying Your Insurance

One of the most common questions people have about alcohol and drug addiction treatment is whether their health insurance will cover the cost. Most often it does, but it’s important to verify this. We can do it for you. You just need to let us know what type of coverage you have, and we can make the inquiries. There is no charge to you for this service.

We’ll also talk to you about what treatment costs. This may differ from one person to the next based on the type of care you need. Our admissions team will provide you with information about what to expect to pay out-of-pocket for care, if necessary.

Have a Conversation About Care

You’ll then talk to our compassionate admissions counselors about your care needs. During this conversation, we’ll go over a great deal of information with you. We’ll provide information about each of our programs, including medical detox, residential treatment, and outpatient care. Keep in mind that it’s not possible to know at this point what type of care is best for your situation. That comes later in an assessment. Still, you will get a good idea of what to expect.

How Care Is Determined

When you talk to the admissions team, and then later the clinical team, they’ll ask you questions like the following:

  • What types of substances are you using?
  • How long have you used them?
  • Are you actively using substances now?
  • Have you stopped using at any previous time? If so, what happened?
  • Have you been diagnosed with mental health disorders in the past?
  • How is your substance use impacting your life?
  • What type of support team do you have at home, if any?

The more we know about you and about your health, the better we can help you. Once we gather this information and any other clinical data, the team then creates an individualized treatment plan for you.

At this point, you’ll have a pretty good understanding of what type of care you need. Also, you’re still in control. That means you can provide us with insight into what you believe is best in your situation. We will consider that information and make recommendations based on all factors available and our expertise.

Making Your Decision

How do you make a decision about what to do next? If you believe that we are a good fit for your needs, you can choose to enroll in the treatment plan. Entering treatment is an empowering moment. It’s a way for you to take back your life and create a future for yourself.

On our end, we’ll do all we can to help you.

  • We can discuss travel arrangements so you can get here to begin care.
  • We can provide you with answers to all of your questions, including what to bring with you and what not to bring.
  • We’ll give you a tour of the campus so you can start to feel comfortable here. Our campus is quiet and inviting. It’s designed to help your body and brain heal.
