What Happens During the Admissions Process?

Two women talking.

You’ve made the biggest decision of your life. You are ready to get help for drug or alcohol addiction. At The Ranch at Dove Tree, the admissions process is the first step. It’s an opportunity for you to learn more about our program while also experiencing our high level of care and support.

You’ve Decided to Get Help: What Should You Do First?

It’s best to take a few significant steps before you arrive for the care you need. First, you’ll want to talk to your employer about rehab. Remember that you may be able to protect your job through the Family Medical Leave Act, a law that allows you to take up to 12 weeks a year off to take care of your health. Our admissions counselors can help you find out whether you qualify for this protection.

Next, you’ll want to make arrangements at home. Our inpatient treatment program in Lubbock, TX, can last up to several weeks, so you’ll want to make sure your responsibilities for that time are covered. Here’s why this is important: when you enter rehab, you want to be ready to focus on you. You don’t want anything at home to draw you away from the treatment you need.

Getting Insurance Approval for Care

As part of admissions, our team will work with you to obtain insurance coverage for your care, if available. Paying for rehab does not have to be expensive. Our team will work closely with you to determine if you have insurance coverage and arrange other payment as necessary. We make the entire process as stress-free as possible. We’ll even verify your insurance information for you, so you do not have to talk to your insurance provider at all.

Determine the Type of Help You Need

One of the biggest decisions that will happen early in the admissions process is choosing the right type of care for your needs. You’ll meet with our compassionate counselors to talk about what’s happening to you. We’ll gather key information from you and give you a full examination. From there, we’ll talk about all of the options for care available to you, including:

  • Detox: Many men and women with moderate to severe substance use disorder benefit from our detox program. It’s designed to help you to be comfortable while you physically and emotionally withdraw from your substance/s of choice.
  • Traditional Residential Care: After detox, our team will help you transition into our inpatient residential treatment program. Nearly all of our detox clients enter this program. In this program, you’ll receive support while remaining at our location full-time. Because of how complex drug addiction is, inpatient care is essential for many people. Located on a 15-acre campus with outstanding amenities, our facilities will help you feel right at home.
  • Intensive Outpatient Care: Some people benefit from our intensive outpatient program, either after residential care or as a first step if they do not need detox. This program is best for men and women who have a stable home life and are ready to make changes. It is less structured than what you will find in residential treatment, but it is designed to ensure you have the right amount of support and professional counseling.

Once you complete these programs, we also offer ongoing support through outpatient counseling and transitional living opportunities. Our goal is to prepare you for recovery, which means giving you the type of environment you need for the best results. We’ll talk to you about all of these options during your admissions process.

Creating a Customized Care Plan for You

During the admissions process, you’ll talk to our counselors about the type of care that’s right for you. You’ll learn about our evidence-based treatment programs, holistic care programs, group therapy opportunities, and much more. We’ll make recommendations for you to help you to get a comprehensive level of support while you are here. Everyone’s needs are very different. That’s why a customized care plan is always best.

Perhaps you are not sure where you stand right now. Or, you may be ready to get help immediately. If so, you should be proud of yourself for deciding to reclaim your life. The team at The Ranch at Dove Tree is ready to help you. A free, confidential assessment is always available to you. It’s the first step in getting the level of care you need to overcome addiction and rebuild your life.
